The contribution of Indians to the world's culture

The peoples of the world got many beautiful and necessary things from Indians. Usually people are sure that Europeans taught Indians to use necessary things and to develop their culture. But in reality Indians gave much more interesting things to Europeans.
For example Indians taught Europeans to cultivate maize, potatoes, sunflowers, manioca, cacao, cotton, etc. Cotton was also known and cultivated in India but the species of cotton cultivated in India are not so popular in the world.
Thanks to Indians people learned to cultivate tobacco, paprika, beans, groundnuts, agave and many others.
The spread of potatoes in Europe reduced the level of famine a lot. Later maize helped to make the cheap and good system of cattle feeding.
Indians had some domestic animals among which the most important are domestic turkey and cavy. Among other animals they also taught Europeans to domesticate muscovy.
They also learned to domesticate parrots and some other animals and birds using them for transportation. The most famous animals for transportation were dogs of special breed. Some of these breeds became extinct and some of them are alive till nowadays and people from all parts of the world cultivate them.
So, Europeans brought horses and gun to Indians, but the contribution of Indians was much better and more peaceful.
