Indians traditions in the modern world

Nowadays the Indian traditions and customs may be seen in many places of South and North America. The native inhabitants of these continents make it possible to conserve those pieces of ancient cultures that were not lost during the processes of colonization and assimilation.

There are Indian festivals that are dedicated to the Indian culture. Here it is possible to get to know the crafts, dances, music of Indians and even to take part in some fest ceremony.

Of course such celebrations are not similar to the ancient ones and some traditions are updated and adapted to the modern world, nevertheless all these celebrations have very important role in keeping and following the traditions.

By the way, usually during the preparation to such celebrations, people get to know many interesting and unusual facts about the culture of Indians as well as interesting details that conserved in one family or in the historical chronics that were kept on shelves during centuries. This happened frequently during the reconstruction of some battle or ceremony.

Travellers of 15-16 centuries didn't manage to fix everything seen and heard. But thanks to their diaries and documents we have the possibility to reconstruct something and form the full picture of events of the past. And the legends and stories of Indians help to add some interesting details and correct some mistakes made by explorers.
